Frozen Friday

The weather forecast for Friday was light snow/sleet/freezing rain arriving in the afternoon. On schedule the precipitation stated as graupel or snow pellets, then quickly changed to sleet. Near the end of the event freezing rain coated everything with a glazing of frozen water.  Here is a photo I took this morning before the icy glaze melted. The bluebirds will have to wait a while longer before checking out this house.

With freezing rain, everything gets coated with glaze. My nandina bushes were encapsulated with ice. The red leaves and berries made for a colorful subjects.
